Nominees for the 47th Ihei Kimura Award Final Selection

"The Dialogue of Two", a photography book published last November (artist book limited to 49 copies) and an exhibition of the same title held at RPS Kyoto Branch Paprol Gallery was selected as a finalist for the 47th Ihei Kimura Award, the most prestigious photography award in Japan.
I am more than happy to report that this work, which I have been working on steadily for about three years, has been nominated for an award representing the Japanese photography world, and I am also more than happy to report this to my family and the two subjects "my Grandmother and my cousin Daiki", including Yumi Goto of the RPS, who accompanied me.
I would also like to thank all those who pre-ordered the book and came to the exhibition, as well as my colleagues who worked on the installation of the exhibition, and Tamon Yahagi and Kazuhiko Matsumura who were my interlocutors for the exhibition talk! Thank you very much.
Whether or not I could win the award, the sense of existence that there are people out there who are watching my work and books was a great encouragement to me in my work.
I am reminded once again that I have no choice but to keep digging a deeper hole in order to reach the vein I am aiming for (even though I may not be able to reach it).
The book is sold out!!!
