Akihito Yoshida Photography  Solo Exhibition"The Dialogue of Two"

We are pleased to announce our new photo book "The Dialogue of Two" in November.
The Absence of Two" (titled "Falling Leaves" at the time of publication) as part of the "Photobook as object" photography book production workshop held by photographers Jan Russell and Yumi Goto in May 2016.
In 2017, "The Absence of Two" was presented at the KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival, and was a big hit both in Japan and abroad. The Absence of Two" depicted the daily life of my grandmother (88 years old) and my cousin Daiki (23 years old), and how their daily life comes to an end when Daiki suddenly commits suicide.
Now, we are pleased to present "The Dialogue of Two," a follow-up to "The Absence of Two.
The Dialogue of Two" consists of a series of photographs taken over a period of two and a half years after Daiki's death, until the death of his grandmother at the age of 88, who was left alone.
The Dialogue of Two" is a collection of photographs that focuses on "a story" that my grandmother told me over and over again during her lifetime, about how a person who has lost a loved one faces and interacts with the dead.
At the exhibition venue, I will unveil my new photo book while depicting the two worlds of "The Absence of Two" and "The Dialogue of Two".
During the exhibition period, the artist will be in residence to create a space where he can engage in a dialogue with you.
Please take this opportunity to view both the exhibition and the photo book.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Details of the photo book will be released shortly. Please wait for a while.
